Now that my semester is over, I can finally do some writing for fun! It’s been bothering me that Chapter 20 of Tura has been sitting unfinished for months, but I was able to complete it last night!
I’m hoping to finish the first draft of Tura the Traveler this summer in hopes of publishing the final version before or around the one-year anniversary of Myrwen of Amaranaca‘s publication date. If you can remember back that far, its publication date was October 10, 2017 (10/10 easy to remember!).
So far, my editor (Kassy Paris) has edited Chapters 1-19. She said reading through Chapter 19 made her chuckle not because it was a funny chapter because I had written most of it like a screenplay. Oops! Blame that on my Script writing classes!
I learned from the first time around and I’m making improvements on my second book, both in terms of the process of publication and in terms of the craft of writing itself. I feel that this sequel will be a stronger story, and I hope you will read it to see for yourself.
I would like to humbly ask for your assistance in raising the funds to continued to receive professional editing help with the remainder of my manuscript. Since this is only my second book, it’s not like the money is rolling in yet. It takes a while to establish oneself as an author. It would mean so much to me if you would be willing to donate any amount to help me achieve my dreams once again. Thank you so much in advance for all your support.
There are several other ways you can support me. First, if you haven’t already, purchase a copy of Myrwen of Amaranaca. They are available at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Whitebird Publications‘ website. Second, you can tell friends and family about my book, spread the word! After all, word of mouth is the best advertisement! Third, you can leave reviews for Myrwen on Amazon, B&N or Goodreads.
I’ve included a link to my PayPal account for those of you who feel lead to donate. Please select the family and friends option so that I’m not charged a fee!
Again, thank you so much!
